How we use donations

Every donation supports farming, community, and growth

We're transparent about where your support goes. Here's how donations to Dillon's Strawberry Farm are allocated across operations, maintenance, outreach, and running costs.

Community stories

Real impact from your donations

See how your support helps local groups, schools, and families in Manchester access fresh, affordable strawberries and learn modern growing techniques.

Dillon's Strawberry Farm donated fresh strawberries for our school garden project. The kids now understand where food comes from and feel proud growing their own.

The farm's community workshop taught us vertical growing techniques we could use in our small backyard. Now we're growing our own strawberries year-round.

As a food bank volunteer, I'm grateful Dillon's provides affordable strawberries for families who can't easily afford fresh fruit. It makes a real difference.

Gift Aid

How Gift Aid works

Understand how Gift Aid increases your donation's impact on Dillon's Strawberry Farm.

What is Gift Aid and who can claim it?

Gift Aid is a UK tax relief scheme that lets the farm claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate, at no cost to you. You can claim it if you're a UK taxpayer earning enough to pay income tax or capital gains tax.

How does Gift Aid benefit Dillon's Strawberry Farm?

When you donate through Gift Aid, the farm reclaims the tax you've already paid on that money. For example, a £100 donation becomes £125 to the farm. This extra funding goes directly toward farming operations, maintenance, and community work.

How do I make a Gift Aid donation?

Simply tick the Gift Aid box when you donate on our donation page. You'll need to confirm you're a UK taxpayer and provide your name and address so we can claim the relief with HM Revenue and Customs.

Does claiming Gift Aid cost me anything?

No. Gift Aid costs you nothing extra. The farm claims relief on tax you've already paid. Your donation amount stays the same, but the farm receives more.

Can I claim Gift Aid on donations to other charities too?

Yes. You can claim Gift Aid on donations to any registered charity or eligible organisation, as long as you're a UK taxpayer. Each charity will handle the claim separately.

What if my tax situation changes or I'm not sure if I qualify?

If you're unsure whether you're a UK taxpayer or your circumstances change, contact us at sales@dillonsstrawberryfarm.co.uk or call 07926155186. We can help clarify whether Gift Aid applies to your donation.
